Amelia CottageBed & Breakfast, self contained, character colonial cottage Amelia Cottage was built in 1838 as the original Burbury home. Classified by the National Trust and Heritage listed, this cottage emanates history as it is virtually untouched, with the fuel stove and baker's oven in the colonial kitchen and the same flagstone floor that our ancestors walked over. The cedar shutters in the parlour still work. This cottage is for the history buffs and the heritage lovers. Amelia Cottage is very large and old with 9 beds in the attics and a double bed on the ground floor, and so is very convenient for a large family or small groups travelling together. Although Amelia Cottage is old, it has all the modern facilities discreetly hidden, with a microwave as well as a conventional oven, colour TV, electric heating and blankets and open fires, with complimentary port and sherry and plunger coffee as well as breakfast provisions.
