Both Memory Lane Cottages and Seasons of Tasmania are centrally located with an abundance of really good restaurants close by, in either Elizabeth Street, North Hobart, and at the water's edge and Salamanca Place. To name any in particular would be difficult. We have so many nice eating places now. The best view of Hobart is from Mt. Nelson, far better and easier than Mt. Wellington. Drive as if to the Casino and at the lights turn right and follow the signs to Mt Nelson Signal Station and, as a bonus, there is a delightful restaurant.

A visit to the Cadbury's Chocolate Factory is a must. It is essential to book with tickets available from the visitor's information centres or Cadbury's. Combine a visit with a cruise or a tour of Moorilla Winery. The Botanical Gardens are the best in the nation. Of course, Salamanca Market on Saturday morning is a legend!
